Hi, my name is Rita Johnson. I’m a Christian and B2C Health and Wellness Copywriter. I’m committed to my Christian principles first and foremost and then to helping Holistic Healthcare Providers expand their reach through words and storytelling.
I believe in the power of words and storytelling…and I think the right words can shape any narrative.
My love affair with writing began when I was 10 years old in the fifth grade. The teacher told us to write a story about whatever we wanted to. She told us to use our imaginations and that’s when I discovered I had a big one.
I enjoyed writing and making up stories and would sit and daydream for hours about stories for just about anything.
However, because of life and family, I stopped writing once I got married and had children.
Once my children were all grown up, I decided to take a writing course for The Institute of Children’s Literature (where I received a diploma in Special Publishing) and that reaffirmed my passion with writing and brought out my imagination again.
One day I sat down and started writing. I didn’t know where I was going with it but once I was finished, I’d written a love story. As a result, I self-published my first novel, which is a fictitious romance back in 2008 and I’m currently writing another one.
I’m now in the second half of my life, after retiring from the County Court system where I worked for over 25 years. I feel like it’s my time now. My time to do some of the things I couldn’t when I was working a full-time job and caring for my family. This time around I’m going to do something that I enjoy and love doing…and that’s writing.
I finished AWAI’s Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting and their Web Copywriting 2.0 course… and I’m certified. See below.
As a result, I’m well versed in Direct Response Copy and Web Copy.
Those programs help to open up my imagination again and writing and storytelling are once again my passion.
